Valisa Shannon's management and leadership skills have received the recognition of both corporate executives and community leaders. She has served as a consultant for various not-for-profit organizations and has facilitated entrepreneur training, administered MBE capacity building, and developed comprehensive business plans as well as proposals for competitive solicitations. She developed an extensive community-based initiative for the Urban Hope Homeownership Center that educates and trains prospective home buyers on Financial Literacy, Home buyer Preparation, and Real Estate Investment.

Valisa earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management from Southern University and A&M College and a Bachelor of Science in Construction from Southern Polytechnic State University. She is a licensed Underground Utility Manager and Contractor in the state of Georgia.  In addition, she is licensed as both a General Contractor and Real Estate Broker in the States of Georgia and Florida.
